Unplug and Reconnect: 1 hour Forest Bathing Experience at Walmer Castle. Boost your immune system and find calm.

Escape the digital noise and rediscover your senses.

Are you feeling the weight of the "always-on" world? Join us for the restorative practise of Forest Bathing. This isn't a hike or a "just a nature walk", it’s a slow, guided immersion designed to help you lower stress, boost your immune system, improve your mood, and reconnect with the natural world.

The Comfort of Shared Silence

  • Safety Without Socializing: Experience the protective presence of a group while remaining entirely in your own world. You are held by the collective space, but your only responsibility is to the earth beneath you.

  • Non-Performative Rest: This is a space free from the "social battery." There are no introductions to make, no stories to share, and no circles to join. There is no pressure to speak your name or an interesting fact about yourself to strangers as we understand that for some people this is uncomfortable. You can simply exist without having to perform "wellness" for anyone else.

  • Solitude in Community: Lean into the security of being with others while maintaining a private connection to the forest. It is a shared experience of deep, individual silence—allowing you to focus upward at the canopy rather than inward at social anxieties.

  • Zero-Pressure Presence: We bypass the traditional sharing circles to prioritize your direct relationship with nature. You are safe, you are seen, but you are never required to speak unless you want to.

  • Earth-Centric, Not Human-Centric: This session is designed to bypass social dynamics entirely. Your time here isn't about human networking or interpersonal connection; it is a dedicated return to the soil, the air, and the quiet wisdom of the trees. We provide the safety of the group so you can drift into a singular, uninterrupted bond with the living earth.

What to Expect

Unlike a typical walk, Forest Bathing is about the journey, not the destination. Led by an accredited and certified Forest Therapy Practitioner in the beautiful English Heritage setting of Walmer Castle’s Gardens

(There wont be a sharing circle so there is no pressure to speak your name or an interesting fact about yourself to strangers as we understand that for some people this is uncomfortable)

You will be offered a series of "invitations" to help you slow down and engage with the Castle’s woodlands through your senses:

  • Sight: Noticing the fracture of light through the canopy.

  • Sound: Tuning into the rhythm of the wind and birdsong.

  • Scent: Breathing in the calming phytoncides released by the trees.

  • Touch: Feeling the textures of moss, bark, and earth.

  • Taste: We will conclude our session with an (optional) wild-foraged tea ceremony, allowing time for quiet reflection and shared gratitude.

Healing the Self, Preserving the Past

"My Forest Therapy sessions at Walmer Castle offer a unique opportunity to connect with nature within a site of profound British heritage. I am proud to share that the proceeds from the hire of these historic grounds for our sessions go directly toward the ongoing upkeep and conservation of Walmer Castle. Managed by English Heritage, these funds help maintain the award-winning eight-acre gardens and the historic fabric of the castle itself. By joining me under the canopy of these ancient trees, you are playing an active role in preserving this 'living history' for future generations to wander and enjoy."

A Year in The Forest; The Great Opening.
£180.00

6 Week Rewilding; The Great Opening, May, June & July 2026

The Internal Shift; From Bud to Bloom: Practicing expansion, vitality, and the art of "being" in full light. "Witness the forest find its fullness—and find your own along the way."

The Season; Spring into Summer (May/June/July)

Honouring the Thresholds

We witness the liminal spaces—the quiet, blurring edges where one season exhales and the next begins to stir.

By observing these transitions rather than just the destinations, we learn to navigate the "in-between" moments of our own lives.

Once booked the weekly sessions will be as follows and will be organised privately via email

Week 1: The Quickening (Late Spring) May 25th~31st 2026

The forest is in a rush. Everything is reaching for the light. We start by acknowledging the "busy-ness" we bring from our lives and matching it to the forest's pace before slowing down.

  • The Invitation: "Following the Flow." Tracking the movement of pollinators or the swaying of new, flexible branches.

  • The Goal: Identifying where we are "reaching" in our own lives and finding our natural rhythm.

Week 2: The Softening (The Leafing Out) June 1st~June 7th 2026

As the "Baby Green" of spring turns into a deeper emerald, the forest floor becomes shaded and cool.

  • The Invitation: Sensory immersion in texture. Touching the velvet of new leaves and the softening of the earth.

  • The Goal: Moving from the "sharp edges" of winter/early spring into a state of receptivity and ease.

Week 3: Deep Respiration (The Breath of the Woods)June 8th~14th 2026

With the leaves fully out, the forest is "breathing" at its maximum capacity.

  • The Invitation: "Breathing with the Trees." A guided breathwork session where we visualize the exchange of oxygen and CO2 between our lungs and the canopy.

  • The Goal: Feeling the literal, biological connection between our bodies and the trees.

Week 4: The Symphony (Sound and Song)June 15th~21st 2026

By mid-transition, the forest is at its loudest—birds, insects, and the rustle of a full canopy.

  • The Invitation: "Sound Bathing." Sitting in silence to map the different layers of sound, from the high canopy to the low hum of the forest floor.

  • The Goal: Cultivating deep listening skills that extend beyond the woods.

Week 5: The High Sun (The Solstice Energy) June 22nd ~ 28th 2026

We move toward the longest days. The light is dappled and golden.

  • The Invitation: "Chasing the Light." Finding where the sun breaks through the "Cathedral of Green" and noticing how it changes the temperature on our skin.

  • The Goal: Embracing abundance, warmth, and the feeling of being "full."

Week 6: The Deep Shade (Early Summer Integration)June 29th~ July 5th 2026

The transition is complete. The forest is now a dense, protective sanctuary.

  • The Invitation: A "Full Canopy" Tea Ceremony. We sit in the deepest part of the woods, celebrating the maturity of the season and the growth we’ve experienced.

  • The Goal: Solidifying the "Rewilded" self. How do we keep this internal shade and coolness even when the "heat" of life returns?

Each weekly session will conclude with Forest Bathing
